Dr Bhawna Gautam

Dr Bhawna Gautam graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2005. She is also an NZREX graduate. Bhawna achieved her Master’s degree in Public Health in 2007 and Masters in Health Promotion in 2008. She is one of the few specialists in Dental Sleep Medicine and treats patients with snoring and teeth grinding problems. She has worked in both public and private practice. She has also worked at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and Monash University as an Academic Advisor. She has worked for the City of Casey promoting healthy eating habits in young children. Mum to a little boy, she enjoys working with children.

In her leisure time, Dr Bhawna is inspirational quotes writer. She has her own motivational page on Facebook, The Power of Thoughts and Imagination, and has been interested in releasing inspirational videos and publishing her own book.

Dr Pawan Gautam

Dr Pawan Gautam Graduated Bachelor in Dental surgery in 2006. He is NZREX graduate. He is Member of Royal Australasian College of dental surgery. His special interests include orthodontics and extractions. Pawan is member of Progressive orthodontics and has experience in both public and private practices. When not working, he likes to play sports with his little boy and enjoy camping and outdoor activities.

Dr Yuval Samuni

Dr Yuval is a specialist Oral Surgeon. He obtained his dental degree in 1996 from the Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine in Israel and completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2004. He also obtained a PhD in biochemistry and undertook a post-doctoral fellowship in the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR/NIH) in the USA. Dr Yuval has published a number of book and scientific articles in international journals. He has special interest, extensive knowledge and experience in the field of implant dentistry. Outside of work, Dr Yuval spends most of his time with his family his wife, his three children and his two dogs. He enjoys hiking with his family and friends, reading history books and biographies.

Magdalena Wiktoria

Magdalena (Maggie) holds a Master’s degree in Dental Prosthetics and is a registered dental prosthetist. She has over 19 years of experience working within dentistry (since 1999). She has worked at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital in London, Golbourn Valley Health Health Hospital Shepparton, a boutique private practice in Glen Iris Melbourne and at Griffith University Gold Coast.

Working in large health care services and in boutique practice in Melbourne allowed to work with a wide range of highly qualified professionals including many specialists. It allowed service broad and diverse client base as well as develop strong communication and relationship skills with other dental professionals. Her recent clinical experience as a dental prosthetist comes from Griffith University where she received Master’s degree in Dental Prosthetics. Griffith University put a strong emphasis on the quality of workmanship, professionalism of approaching a patient as well as on appropriate relations within the dental team.

She has always been actively involved with the clinical and technical aspects of her job. Apart from working in the lab and clinic she also participated in other dental projects: research, experiments, lectures, interviews for dental magazines (she has had a few publications) and was speaker at dental conference in Liverpool. She received an award for best student in dental technology and then in the following year an award for the best dental technician of the year at Eastman Dental Hospital. Maggie will always make a dental visit an enjoyable experience to her clients. As a hobby project, she completed a Diploma course in Clinical Hypnosis and Psychotherapy with Hypnotherapy Training College Australia. Her caring and professional approach will put the most nervous patients at ease.

Sheryl Faustino

Sheryl has been with the practice for the last nearly 5 years. Starting off as a Front Desk Coordinator and now she is our Practice Manager. Sheryl now spends her workdays in front and behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly. Sheryl has extensive managing and administrative knowledge which is reflective of her work ethic and attitude. She will go the extra mile for everyone most especially to the patients to make sure their experience with us is enjoyable.

Stephanie

Lavanya

Lavanya has finished her Cert III in dental assisting at Menzies Institute in April 2018. She really enjoys working with all age groups and assisting them with their oral care, “It is rewarding to part of wonderful team at Afford to Smile dental clinic. It excited to part future of practice”, according to lovely colleague. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and cooking.

Jamielle

Jamielle is a qualified Dental Assistant who enjoys working in all ages, especially with kids. Outside of work she enjoys short trips and all around travelling, discovering new places and private/public museums and does sports from dance to boxing.

Valerie

Mother of two, 29 years old Valene has been working with for 6 years as dental nurse and dental receptionist, at qualified medical receptionist and these terminologist, who is completing study into psychology and counselling.
