About Us

Dr Bhawna Gautam

Dr Bhawna Gautam graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2005. She is also an NZREX graduate. Bhawna achieved her Master’s degree in Public Health in 2007 and Masters in Health Promotion in 2008. She is one of the few specialists in Dental Sleep Medicine and treats patients with snoring and teeth grinding problems. She has worked in both public and private practice. She has also worked at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and Monash University as an Academic Advisor. She has worked for the City of Casey promoting healthy eating habits in young children. Mum to a little boy, she enjoys working with children.

In her leisure time, Dr Bhawna is inspirational quotes writer. She has her own motivational page on Facebook, The Power of Thoughts and Imagination, and has been interested in releasing inspirational videos and publishing her own book.

Dr Pawan Gautam

Dr Pawan Gautam Graduated Bachelor in Dental surgery in 2006. He is NZREX graduate. He is Member of Royal Australasian College of dental surgery. His special interests include orthodontics and extractions. Pawan is member of Progressive orthodontics and has experience in both public and private practices. When not working, he likes to play sports with his little boy and enjoy camping and outdoor activities.

Dr Yuval Samuni

Dr Yuval is a specialist Oral Surgeon. He obtained his dental degree in 1996 from the Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine in Israel and completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2004. He also obtained a PhD in biochemistry and undertook a post-doctoral fellowship in the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR/NIH) in the USA. Dr Yuval has published a number of book and scientific articles in international journals. He has special interest, extensive knowledge and experience in the field of implant dentistry. Outside of work, Dr Yuval spends most of his time with his family his wife, his three children and his two dogs. He enjoys hiking with his family and friends, reading history books and biographies.

Maria Jessie Marriner

Maria  has 18 years of experience as a technician and a Prosthetics for 5 years. She undergo both Diploma of Dental Technology and Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetist at RMIT University. Outside of her work she loves to play with her dogs and on her spare time she loves to travel with her family.

Sheryl Faustino

Sheryl has been with the practice for the last nearly 10 years. Starting off as a Front Desk Coordinator and now she is our Practice Manager. Sheryl now spends her workdays in front and behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly. Sheryl has extensive managing and administrative knowledge which is reflective of her work ethic and attitude. She will go the extra mile for everyone most especially to the patients to make sure their experience with us is enjoyable.

Kristine

Lavanya

Lavanya has finished her Cert III in dental assisting at Menzies Institute in April 2018. She really enjoys working with all age groups and assisting them with their oral care, “It is rewarding to part of wonderful team at Afford2Smile dental clinic. It excited to part future of practice”, according to lovely colleague. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and cooking.

Aswathi

Aswati is our Dental Assistant who enjoys working in all ages, especially with kids. Outside of work she enjoys short trips and and she is studying Master of Public Health.
